julie roberts is a designer based in Richmond, Virginia. After graduating from VCU's Interior Design program in 2016, julie moved to New York City, working with a few multidiciplinary design studios, bridging both branding and interior departments, where she was a recipient of the james beard award for best restaurant design in 2018. projects span dive bars to hotels to arenas, all in the hospitality realm coming from a deep love of food. Now back in Richmond, julie freelances on a variety of hospitality project. she also co-owns and operates sunday bagel with her husband and their chihuahua-terrier mix, ruby.
currently working on: a bar in scott’s addition, a pasta spot in church hill, a bar in the west village, a chef’s brand and website, a restaurant in jersey, and a floral shop in church hill
